Unfortunately, Nintendo did not disclose any further details so we have no clue as to who the new fighter could be as well as how much time will be dedicated to the new fighter. That being said, it has been rumoured that Banjo-Kazoole will be the next DLC fighter joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate following the arrival of Persona 5’s Joker.

Nintendo has been largely silent over its E3 2019 announcements but following a video message by Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai, who made the video to congratulate the winning team of Nintendo’s pre-E3 World Championship tournament. In the video, he said, “I’ll be continuing my work on the next DLC fighter, and more information regarding that will be shared in the Nintendo Direct for E3 2019, so I hope you’re looking forward to it.”

Aside from Joker, there are still four DLC fighters that have yet to be announced, though thankfully we will not have to wait much longer for the second fighter to be announced.
You can catch Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct presentation on June 11, 9am PT (June 12, 2am SGT).
