The new year has just begun, and already we are raring to have a go at some of the most-hyped video games of 2020. However, it is without a doubt that most of these games will not come cheap, so perhaps the new free games on the Epic Games Store might entice you.

The games in question (with their usual prices) are:
- Darksiders: Warmastered Edition (US$13.99)
- Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition (US$20.99)
- Steep (US$24.99)
The first two titles are the perfect way for newcomers to get acquainted with a video game take on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in the action-packed Darksiders franchise

Granted, these two in particular only feature War and Death respectively, but their stories are enough to make you want to grab a copy of Darksiders III, which features their sister Fury, and Darksiders Genesis, which features the final Horseman, Strife.
Steep is a little more straightforward, being a snow-based extreme sports game that puts you in the shoes of a skier, snowboarder or paraglider, performing death-defying stunts without ever having to step out of your house.

Now that we’ve given you a brief lowdown on these games, it’d be best to grab them while they’re still at the low, low cost of free, as they won’t be anymore on January 9.
