CES 2024: MSI Claw Is Intel’s Answer To AMD Powered ROG Ally And Lenovo Legion Go

Anyone who says competition doesn’t breed innovation should look at the ongoing battle between MSI Claw (Intel), ROG Ally (AMD) and Lenovo Legion Go (AMD).

As the first Intel-powered mobile gaming PC handheld, the MSI Claw A1M has the new Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 155H at the heart of the action. While it has generally been angled as a laptop CPU, Intel might have found the right use case for the processor.

In addition, Intel ARC graphics featuring up to 8 Xe cores and advanced XeSS technology will handle the graphical side of things. We’ve been impressed with the Intel ARC tech as a whole and it would be interesting to see it in action considering how much it is able to leverage on AI to eke out all those extra frames and performance.

But what makes the MSI Claw stand out from the rest of the pack is its 53Whr battery which is the biggest battery found among all the devices thus far. It’s one thing to tout the best hardware and it remains to be seen if the performance of the device overall holds up against its rivals overall.

After all, it makes no sense to buy a mobile PC gaming handheld only to be tethered to a wall socket.
