App Of The Month: Setlog (Jun 2026)

Content curation is all part of the digital age experience, be it posting on social media or filtering through footage and stitching them into a vlog. But the process takes time and effort, which are often in scarce supply for most, so it didn’t come as a surprise when BeReal — first released in 2020 — became a hit with its no-filter approach, inviting users to share an unedited photo of their day within a random two-minute window each day.

App of the Month: Setlog

Similar to the social networking platform, Setlog embraces authentic and spontaneous sharing, albeit with its own twists. For starters, it’s designed as a real-time vlog app where a small group of friends can document their day together and compare their routines side by side, proving especially handy for those living in different time zones. It serves as a quick and convenient way to check in on loved ones, and also gives a clear idea of the roles in a group, such as the early risers, the night owls, or the consistent everyday doers.

The idea is straightforward: join or create a log with up to 12 people, record a short two-to-four-second video, and share it in a visual diary format with accompanying captions every hour of the day. After the day resets at 4am, the app automatically pieces all the clips into a single split-screen video, with the vertical orientation allowing easy cross-posting to Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.

While the fun mostly comes from the synchronised posting, there’s an option for solo vlogs, too, which retains the same features, including the ability to revisit past videos on a calendar.

Setlog is currently available in Korean, Japanese, and English on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for free.
