Avengers: Damage Control VR Experience Is Now Open At Resorts World Genting

Avengers: Endgame might be over but the MCU fever is still going strong, with a whole slew of Marvel movies in the pipeline for Phase 5. For the impatient few, there is a new Virtual Reality (VR) experience for fans to enjoy in Resorts World Genting.

Avengers: Damage Control, which opened on October 18, is a brand new VR experience brought to fans by Marvel Studios and ILMxLAB, Lucasfilm’s immersive entertainment studio.

“Expanding how people can experience the MCU is something we’re always trying to do, and in Avengers: Damage Control, we wanted to give fans the chance to suit up alongside some of their favourite heroes for the first time ever,” said Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios.

The VR experience will allow fans to step into the MCU for the very first time and fight alongside some of their favourite heroes.

Prior to the actual fighting, fans will be led to a briefing room where Shuri (Letitia Wright) will enlist them to help test her latest prototype, the Emergency Response Suit, which is made using both Wakandan and Stark technologies.

Unfortunately, Ultron is back to wreak havoc on humankind, so the participants are quickly thrust into the thick of things and will have to learn how to use their suit on the fly. Fans will be able to shoot repulsor blasts out of their own two hands as well as deploy shields to protect themselves.

Fans will also be able to fight alongside other Avengers such as Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Spiderman (Tom Holland), and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and will get to enjoy various multi-sensory experiences such as being able to smell popcorn when it is right in front of you or feel the wind in your face when Doctor Strange opens one of his portals.

We won’t spoil the game’s story for you but then again, the thrill here is assembling with your favourite Avengers.

Also, much like the Alien: Descent VR Experience, if fans see a railing in Avengers: Damage Control, they can reach out and actually touch it in real life. It truly is a different, immersive, multi-sensorial VR experience for Marvel fans.

Avengers: Damage Control is an action-packed VR experience that lets fans participate in their very own Marvel movie of sorts, and get to interact in a virtual world where they can bring their favourite Marvel characters to life in a way that has never been seen before.

MCU fans who wish to experience Avengers: Damage Control can do so at The Void located in Resorts World Genting. Tickets are sold at RM130 (approximately S$42.75).
