‘Arcane: Season 2’ Hypes Up Nov 2024 Release With Key Visual And Sneak Peek

As Arcane gears up for a highly-anticipated return, Netflix has dropped another extended look at its upcoming second season. The latest clip, titled ‘Enemy of My Enemy’, teases a potentially interesting alliance between Sevika and Jinx, but not before showing the latter being roughed up.

It opens with Jinx’s cries as she flees through the back alleys of Zaun, crossing paths with the Scrap Hackers, a new criminal faction led by chem-baron Smeech and who hails from the show’s source material, League of Legends. Fishbones, the rocket launcher used to attack Piltover’s council in the first season’s finale, seems to be cradled in her arms, and she loses her grip on it after receiving a hard punch in the face (ouch).

The two parties trade barbs in a tense back-and-forth, allowing Sevika to intervene by shooting the top hat off a transgressor’s head. The trailer then ends with her stepping into frame and wielding a firearm, appearing to have saved Jinx and possibly setting the stage for a reluctant partnership.

The prospect is particularly intriguing, given Sevika’s lack of awareness that Jinx killed Silco, the criminal mastermind they worked for, at the end of Season 1. While most of Arcane: Season 2 remain under wraps, this sneak peek gives a promising glimpse of its tone and character exploration.

A new key visual was also revealed, featuring protagonist Vi and sharpshooter Caitlyn in Enforcer uniform, Ambessa Merdara, mother of Mel, as well as a looming Jinx in the background. In contrast to its sombre nature, a clip released in July leaned more into lighthearted territory, showing Heimerdinger and Ekko infiltrating a Hexcore lab in Piltover.

Arcane: Season 2 Sneak Peek And New Trailer

Don’t get too comfortable with the levity, though. The official poster unveiled in June hints at more ‘doomed siblings’ dynamics to come, while a brief footage teased new heroes, another potential time skip, and Vi’s new outfit. Fans can expect a fan-favourite villan to make his debut when Arcane: Season 2 hits Netflix sometime this November.

Fortiche is returning as the animation production company for Season 2. Ella Purnell (Fallout, Yellowjackets), Hailee Steinfeld (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Hawkeye), and Katie Leung (Annika, The Peripheral) will reprise their roles as Jinx, Vi, and Caitlyn respectively.
