Apple has introduced a new way for users to organise and celebrate special moments with the launch of Apple Invites. This app allows users to create personalised invitations and share them seamlessly with friends and family. It integrates with iCloud and Apple Music, making event planning more interactive and convenient. Starting today, users can download Apple Invites from the App Store or access it through iCloud.com, making it available to anyone, regardless of whether they use an Apple device.
Brent Chiu-Watson, Apple’s senior director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apps and iCloud, highlighted how the app enhances event planning and memory sharing, “With Apple Invites, an event comes to life from the moment the invitation is created, and users can share lasting memories even after they get together. Apple Invites brings together capabilities our users already know and love across iPhone, iCloud, and Apple Music, making it easy to plan special events.”
With the support of Apple Intelligence, crafting invitations becomes effortless. Built-in AI tools assist in generating creative images and refining invitation text. A feature called Image Playground allows users to produce unique visuals based on descriptions and personal photos. Writing Tools help tailor messages to fit any occasion, making the process more engaging and personalised. Apple Intelligence is now available on select iPhone models running iOS 18.2 and later.
Managing events is straightforward, with hosts gaining full control over invitations, guest lists, and RSVP tracking. Invitations can be shared via a simple link, and attendees can respond using the iPhone app or through a web browser. Privacy options give guests the ability to control their information and exit an event if necessary.
Subscribers to iCloud+ receive additional benefits, including increased storage for photos and files, enhanced privacy through Private Relay, and the ability to generate random email addresses with Hide My Email. Other perks include HomeKit Secure Video for encrypted security footage, custom email domains, and Family Sharing, which extends iCloud+ benefits to up to five family members. Subscription plans start at S$1.48 per month, providing users with valuable tools to enhance their Apple ecosystem.
