Following the release of Apple’s most powerful system yet, its latest range of Mac Studios equipped with advanced M4 Max and M3 Ultra chips, the tech giant is making full use of its upgraded hardware by expanding its 2025 gaming lineup with impressive titles like Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Cyberpunk 2077.

Headlining Apple’s latest gaming offerings is Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which saw a simultaneous Mac release alongside its PC and console counterparts on 20 March. Harnessing the power of the latest M3 and M4 chips alongside advanced Mac technologies like MetalFX and Apple silicon, the game is set to offer both smooth performance, alongside enhanced visual quality with hardware-accelerated real-time ray tracing on supported chipsets.
Looking towards the future, Apple is set to bring a range of titles to Mac systems over the year, notably CD Projekt Red’s action role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077, which will launch sometime in 2025 with support for a host of advanced features like path tracing, frame generation, and built-in Spatial Audio, all made available using the power of the latest chips.

Rounding out the list of upcoming games is Remedy Entertainment’s Control Ultimate Edition, which will feature support for hardware-accelerated ray tracing on Macs with the latest M4 family of chips when it releases on 26 March, and Teyon’s latest first-person shooter RoboCop: Rogue City, releasing on Mac sometime in 2025. Kuro Games’ massive free-to-play action RPG Wuthering Waves, which is already available for iPhone and iPad, will also see a Mac port on 27 March.
These new additions join Apple’s already impressive lineup of Mac gaming releases such as Capcom’s Resident Evil 3, PocketPair’s Palworld and Firaxis Games’ Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, with the former two available on the App Store and the latter on Steam.
With the computing power of its latest M3 and M4 chips alongside its impressive gaming lineup, Apple is cementing itself as not only a workhorse for professionals and creatives, but also a strong contender for gaming enthusiasts and everyone in between.
