Adidas’ Latest Star Wars ZX 2K Sneaker Is Literally Wearing Han Solo’s Hoster Belt

The hype around Adidas‘ collaboration with Star Wars for the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back couldn’t be more intense. The German sportswear and sneaker giant has come up with some really incredible-looking silhouettes over the months, paying homages to the likes of Luke Skywalker, Stormtrooper, Lando Calrissian, Darth Vader, and most recently, Boba Fett.

Its latest tribute goes to none other than Han Solo in the form of the Star Wars x Adidas ZX 2K BOOST “Han Solo” colourway. What’s most significant about this black/white sneaker is the fact that it sports the iconic bounty hunter’s holster belt literally strapped over the upper, as if it were ready to whip out its own blaster pistol and gun down some Stormtroopers while spitting out wisecracking quips.

Other than the holster belt, this shoe takes on a more clean and understated look as compared to the other sneakers in this collaboration. The black upper uses a breathable synthetic fabric that is partially covered by TPU overlays. A mix of sand-coloured leather and grey TPU wraps around the heel to provide extra stability. The sand colour carries over to the heel end of the midsole, which partially covers a black Boost cushion.

The top of the tongue sports black-and-white artwork of Han, while the lace deubres are interchangeable between “Star Wars”, and a unique combination of “Han Solo” and a miniature Millennium Falcon. The entire set comes in a special edition packaging featuring more Han Solo art.

The Star Wars x Adidas ZX 2K BOOST “Han Solo” is now available in limited quantities at retailers such as atmos, and retails for around US$197.
