New year, new remasters, as Activision Blizzard would call it. At a recent financial call, the video game giant declared that it plans to announce “a number of remastered and reimagined titles” sometime later this year (via Games Industry and confirmed by Daniel Ahmad on Twitter).
The publisher is definitely no stranger to remasters, having released the likes of Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, King’s Quest and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled in recent years.
Though no exact IPs were mentioned, one can look to Activision Blizzard’s treasure trove of franchises at its disposal, with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Pitfall and Skylanders among the most notable of these.
Additionally, Activision Blizzard also included the fact that a new Call of Duty game will be released in 2020. And if the rumours are true, then we could also be getting a new Crash Bandicoot game later this year too.
Expect more updates and announcements to come from Activision Blizzard in the coming months.
