If you didn’t already know, the latest Metal Gear (not really, just in name) game was just released, Metal Gear Survive is the first post-Kojima, Konami-made Metal Gear game.
While the breakup between the two has been less than pleasant, it remains an issue of the higher-ups and Hideo Kojima. Whether you love or hate Survive, it seems the developers left behind at Konami has a special message for their ousted Big Boss.
Starting off the game will require you to add your name, and it will then be listed on a piece of paper on a clipboard amongst other codenames. What is curious about these names is the order, and what they could potentially mean. The sharp eyes of Twitter user NourishedPsyche saw something special:
Am I the only one who saw “KoJima Productions FOREVER?” using the first letter of the highlighted code names? @HEITAIs #MetalGearSurvive #MGSurvive pic.twitter.com/NrYGVmwm8J

Kojima Productions Forever? KJP has always been a well-used abbreviation for the now departed Kojima Productions, and what is even more damning are the two last names, BASTARD YOTA and CUNNING YUJI, a quick search to the Survive wiki page will bring up the following information:
The director and producer of Metal Gear Survive just so happen to be named Yota Tsutsumizaki and Yuji Korekado, coincidence? Perhaps, but when it comes to a beloved series like Metal Gear and the obscurity that usually follows it, we would not bet against it being a cry of support for Hideo Kojima.
Metal Gear Survive is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
