Transformers: Age of the Primes

Hasbro Rolling Out 13 Exclusive ‘Transformers: Age of the Primes’ Character Magnets In Singapore & Malaysia

The power of the Primes will make their debut from May 2025, with the groundbreaking launch of Hasbro’s Transformers: Age of the Primes line-up. This monumental project, which focuses on the mythical Thirteen Primes, has been two years in the making as it introduces the referenced but largely never-before-seen lineup of Thirteen Primes, the highest ranked Transformers in the long-running lore.

Transformers: Age of the Primes

Fans of the original Transformers animated series might not be aware of the 13 Primes, only that Optimus Prime is the leader of the Autobots, and he was succeeded by Rodimus Prime, but a Prime is the leader of the heroic faction of the Transformers, and as the first Transformers from the mythology, the Thirteen Primes represent a pantheon of powerful beings, each with a unique ability and personality, and every bot and power, including the Matrix of Leadership, in the Transformers universe can be traced back to them, and fans can collect and combine different characters to create their ideal Age of the Primes lineup.

Created to defeat the ancient evil of Unicron, the 13 Primes were mentioned in the recent Transformers One (2024) animated film, but you won’t find any of these details in any single animated show or comics, as the Thirteen Primes have had their lore established across different mediums in the last 20 years, and this marks the first time that the group have been collectively released as a toy series celebrating the legacy of the Primes.

Transformers: Age of the Primes
Prime Prime, Megatronus the Fallen and Solus Prime

And if you know your lore, some of the Primes and their names will seem very familiar. The first wave from the series comprises three Primes – Megatronus The Fallen (Leader Class), Prima Prime (Voyager Class) and Solus Prime (Deluxe Class), and the trio will be joined by G2 Universe Grimlock (Leader Class), Red Alert (Voyager Class), and a pair of Aerialbots, Slingshot (Deluxe Class) and Air Raid (Deluxe Class).

Independently, some of the characters are icons in their own right but the last two from the list would be familiar to longtime fans as the five Aerialbots, of which the remaining three would be released throughout the year, can combine to become the first Autobot combiner, Superion!

As part of the Age of Primes rollout, Hasbro Singapore and Malaysia are offering a limited-quantity Gift-With-Purchase (GWP), available exclusively through select retailers. Every spend of S$120 / RM400 or more on Transformers: Age of the Primes products in a single receipt will entitle you to receive a random Metal Character Magnet.

The first wave of three released in May will mirror the three Primes released in the first wave – Megatronus Prime, Prime Prime and Solus Prime. The rest of the character magnets in this series will be released in waves across the next few months, beyond 2025 and into 2026. There will be a total of 13 Metal Character Magnets to collect, for the Thirteen Primes.

If you intend to add the complete character magnets to your collection, you will need the special Magnetic Showcase Frame, which can display all 13 Primes Character Magnets. Simply spend S$300 / RM800 or more on Transformers: Age of the Primes products in a single receipt to redeem this exclusive magnetic frame.

Participating retailers are as follows.

This GWP redemption promotion only applies to purchases from Transformers: Age of the Primes lineup and while stocks last.

From left to right: Megatronus the Fallen, Prima Prime, Solus Prime

Leader Class The Thirteen Megatronus the Fallen

Created as the most powerful of the Primes, Megatronus Prime was designed as a warrior linked to destruction, which ultimately led him down a dark path. His betrayal of the Thirteen marks his new name, The Fallen, and he’s also regarded as the first Decepticon. The largest of the Primes, Megatronus the Fallen is the warrior Prime, and his name should bring a smile to fans of the franchise.

Megatronus the Fallen

This 7.5-inch action figure comes with flame accessories to show his eternal burning anger, and converts between robot and tank modes in 38 steps, and comes fully equipped to lead with the included requiem blaster, staff mace, blade, gun turret, and blast effects.

The use of Leaderclass Class makes him of the same stature as other great leaders of the Autobots, Decepticons and Predacons, and would be a great fit in terms of scale and size with the earlier leaders in the series.

Voyager Class The Thirteen Prima Prime

The Thirteen were among the first bots created, but Prima Prime has the distinction of being the first among this pantheon of Primes, and the bearer of the legendary Star Saber Sword that holds the Matrix of Leadership! And if Megatronus is the darkness among the group, Prima Prime is the warrior of light, serving as the guiding beacon of the Transformers.

Prime Prime

Chosen to lead the team, this 7-inch The Thirteen Prima Prime action figure converts between robot and Cybertronian truck modes in 20 steps, and is inspired by the character from the Transformers universe. And yes, it comes with the must-have  Star Saber Sword and Matrix of Leadership accessories.

Deluxe Class The Thirteen Solus Prime

The maker and creator among The Thirteen, Solus Prime is the first female Transformer, and all female bots that came after share her traits of leadership, loyalty and a strong personality.

Solus Prime

This 5.5-inch The Thirteen Solus Prime action figure converts between robot and Cybertronian armored car modes in 28 steps. It is inspired by the character from the Transformers universe and features articulated head, arms, legs and comes with a Forge of Solus Prime Artifact hammer accessory.

Deluxe Class Aerialbot Air Raid & Slingshot

Take flight with Aerialbots Air Raid and Slingshot, two of the five Earth-style aircraft that merge to form the first Autobot combiner, Superion! Combiner Transformers are beloved for their power, but also for their thematic designs, and Superion also has the distinction of being the first Combiner introduced in the Transformers universe, which basically makes him royalty.

Air Raid and Slingshot

Both of these 5.5-inch action figures convert between robot and jet modes in 17 steps, and come with 2 blaster accessories that attach in both modes.

Combiners are highly sought after by Transformers fans and collectors, and if you want to transform Air Raid and Slingshot with the other upcoming Aerialbots (each sold separately) to form Superion, it’s better to start early as these will be snapped up early!

Leader Class G2 Universe Grimlock

He is not a Prime, but the legendary Grimlock is the beloved and respected leader of the Dinobots and this 7.5-inch G2 Universe Grimlock action figure converts between robot and T-Rex dinosaur mode in 22 steps.

Grimlock and Wheelie

A loyal friend and charismatic leader with a disdain for the Decepticons, this variant also comes with a secondary figure – the child-like Wheelie who speaks faster than most people can think. Inspired by the character from the Transformers universe, this Grimlock variant also features articulated head, arms, legs and comes with a cannon blaster accessory.

Voyager Class Autobot Red Alert

Rounding up the first wave is the 7-inch Autobot Red Alert action figure that converts between robot and off-road vehicle modes in 22 steps. Based on the iconic security advisor, this figure comes with cannon, hand missiles, and claw accessories.

Red Alert

As with Transformers and their multitudes of accessories, one can always appreciate it when the designers cater ways for the various accessories to be stowed away on the internals of the figure when it is converted to vehicle mode, and Red Alert is one of those.
