Kingdom Hearts 4

As possibly the biggest surprise of the entire showcase, Square Enix left its mark by finally revealing the first looks at gameplay for its long-awaited RPG sequel, Kingdom Hearts 4. Although brief, the snippet of gameplay showcases Sora wielding his Keyblade once more to battle against demons, with the trailer also showcasing the game’s new look running on Unreal Engine 5. Still, the title has yet to receive an official release window, so fans might be in for a long wait.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake

This one was another surprise, but one that fans saw was coming. Heavily rumoured prior to its announcement, Nintendo has finally unveiled that it will be remaking one of the most successful games of all time, 1998’s The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. While the reveal trailer didn’t show off much, it did offer a look at what seems to be the game’s updated art style, which looks to lean towards realism more than the cell-shaded nature of the past two modern Zelda titles.
