It’s time to d-d-d-d-d-d-down some cup noodles! Instant ramen brand Nissin has announced a collaboration with Konami’s Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, featuring a replica of the highly recognisable artwork from the “Instant Fusion” Spell card.
The crossover serves to celebrate both the 55th and 25th anniversaries of Cup Noodle and Yu-Gi-Oh!, respectively, and will include a limited number of special packages. Each set comprises 20 individual servings of Nissin’s instant ramen and an exclusive physical Instant Fusion card with the Cup Noodle logo stamped onto the description box. While the packaging is fully customised, the noodles and broth remain unchanged from the classic flavour.
“Pay 1000 LP; Special Summon 1 Level 5 or lower Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, but it cannot attack, also it is destroyed during the End Phase. (This is treated as a Fusion Summon.) You can only activate 1 ‘Instant Fusion’ per turn,” reads the text for Instant Fusion.

The Nissin Cup Noodle X Yu-Gi-Oh! bundle retails for 4,800 yen (US$30 / S$39) and is currently available for pre-order. Shipping is scheduled for late March, and purchases are limited to four sets per person.
The company is no stranger to brand collaborations and quirky flavours – the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Donbei Kitsune Udon tie-up was launched in 2024 in celebration of the game’s launch, while the previous year marked the rollout of its Tomica blind box car collection and gaming-themed options that came with caffeine.
