Anticipation is building up for the return of the Man Without Fear on the small screen, but he won’t be the only familiar face to catch the attention of fans. As previously reported, Krysten Ritter is back on the case as Jessica Jones in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, and Entertainment Weekly has unveiled a first-look image of her debut in the sequel series.
Making up one of four photos, it shows a fully suited-up Daredevil (Charlie Cox) meeting up with the superhero-turned-private-eye in front of a railing, with the latter looking the same as you’d remember: black jacket, jeans, and all. The other three feature Cox in a hoodie and Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page; an encounter between governor Marge McCaffrey (Lili Taylor), Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), and Vanessa Fisk (Ayelet Zurer); as well as both Fisks and Mr Charles (Matthew Lillard) seated around a desk. Of the list, Taylor and Lillard step in as newcomers to the series.

While specifics of Ritter’s role remain under lock and key, the sophomore season will give her more significance (per head of Marvel Television, Brad Winderbaum) and flesh out the dynamics between her and Daredevil.
“Just by the nature of who Jessica is and who Matt [Murdock] is, they both give as much as they get,” said Cox to EW. “I’m not sure we were aware of it when we were shooting it. So we’ve been really waiting for this opportunity for so long now to put these two on screen together and have more fun with them.”
Alongside the character reveals, Winderbaum also teased that the story will explore “a lot of heavy themes,” and “a lot of dark moments and tragic events”. He explained, “Daredevil is a revolutionary in this season. He’s a rebel, and it’s fun to see him go up against the power of the city.”
“It feels like one misstep and loved ones disappear. You are taken, there’s no way out,” Cox described of this rebellion, which took cues from the French Revolution. “It’s a very claustrophobic world.”

The first Netflix-Marvel show to get a new but continued series under Disney+ and Marvel Studios, Daredevil: Born Again was renewed for a second season earlier in February and is set to pick up after the cliffhanger of the first season that saw the Man Without Fear going underground and reaching out to allies in his battle against crime lord Wilson Fisk, who has aggressively consolidated power, and his anti-vigilante task force.
Season 2 returns to the streamer next March.
