3 Whole Seconds Of EA And BioWare’s Anthem

E3 2018 is almost upon us, and the announcement leaks have been coming in fast and furious, with dubious press conference schedules and “accidental” game leaks.

One of the hotly anticipated titles is Anthem, and for preparation of the hype train, EA and BioWare released a new teaser trailer for their upcoming game, Anthem, which consists of a whole THREE SECONDS of an in-game cutscene.

This does not really tell us much except that “Something is out there.”, and the teaser ends with a line promoting their new trailer release on June 9th. It is pretty much a blink-and-you-miss-it, and left me questioning what is with the teaser trailer to a teaser trailer trend nowadays.

All this is part of the build up to EA Play, which is EA’s own press conference and convention before the main E3 event.

A new trailer aside, the developers are promising to showcase more Anthem gameplay; flying, looting and in-depth combat mechanics. The Javelin exo-suit is a key feature in combat, empowering the player to take on the enemies in the world of Anthem.

BioWare General Manager Casey Hudson, Executive Producer Mark Darrah, and Lead Writer Cathleen Rootsaert are also going to share their insights and principles throughout the development of Anthem, along with some behind-the-scenes concept and production art.

The last we heard about Anthem was at E3 in 2017, where a gameplay trailer was released. Since then, EA has committed to a March 2019 release for the game.

Tune in to the EA Play Livestream on 9th June at 11am PDT (10th June 0200 SGT), to get to know more about this eagerly anticipated game!
