3 Ways Samsung QLED TV Wants To Declutter Your Living Room

“Focus On What Truly Matters.”

That’s the tagline Samsung is going with for it’s 2018 QLED range of TVs – the flagship Q9F , curved Q8C, Q7F and Q6F.

With their new line-up, Samsung is moving away from the screen prowess, and is aiming to declutter living rooms, and making the overall TV experience a fuss-free one.

One Invisible Connection 2.0

Samsung’s newest solution for cable clutter brings the One Invisible Connection 2.0. It combines both power cable and data lines into one, leaving only cable is connected to your TV screen.

The almost-invisible cable which is available in lengths of up to 15 metres, is then plugged in to the One Connect set-top box that can sit anywhere in the living room. By plugging all devices into the set-top box instead of the back of the TV, it reduces the wire clutter and paves the way for a much cleaner TV console set-up. Samsung has been offering this set-top box feature for a while, and it is still able to pare things down.

Samsung Smart Hub

With all devices being plugged into the One Connect set-top box, through Samsung Smart Hub, consumers can now easily manage all their different devices.

All devices are now automatically detected and labelled, and with the newly designed One Remote, consumers do not have to use multiple remotes to control all their devices. Using the companion Samsung SmartThings mobile app, setting up your new TV has never been more painless.

Magic Screen, Always On

Your TV now does not need to be a rectangular black hole in the middle of your living room when it is turned off. With the new Magic Screen, a new ambient standby feature, you can use your TV as wall decoration, to display photos or play your favourite tunes. The Magic Screen is able to apply an interactive background which blends into your living room wall, while displaying useful information such as time and weather conditions.

“Aesthetics has to match performance.” Samsung Singapore’s Head of Product Marketing, Mr Gavin Yeong emphasises.

Under the hood of the new QLED TVs is the Q Engine, Samsung’s proprietary processor which is behind the spectacular image quality. The Quantum Dot technology (which is why it is called ‘Q’ LED), reproduces life-like images with its 100% colour volume, HDR and impressive contrast.

Performance aside, Samsung promises that its QLED screens are also built to last longer than other technologies. This confidence in its product quality is backed up with the 10-year burn-in free warranty that comes with every purchase of a QLED TV.

All of Samsung’s 2018 QLED TVs would be made available at all major electronics stores from May 2018 onwards. In celebration of their new launch, consumers who purchase a TV from Samsung’s 2018 line-up would also be able to enjoy promotional prices on purchases of their soundbars.
