Zack Snyder’s Justice League Gets New Trailer With More Darkseid And Superman

Back in the DC FanDome event in August, we managed to get our first looks at the upcoming Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Also known as the Sndyer Cut, the trailer provided fans a better look at what they can expect from the now-four-episode miniseries once it drops on HBO Max in 2021.

After the trailer ended up being removed from YouTube over music rights issue, Snyder promised fans a new trailer will be released on Justice League’s third anniversary. And now, said new trailer has been released on Snyder’s Twitter, in a classy black and white finish. A colourised version was then released on YouTube not long after.

The new trailer remains largely similar to the one released on DC FanDome, with even Snyder’s original music choice of Hallelujah remaining the same. Though, there are some added looks at Darkseid and Superman, which highlights once again just how different Snyder’s version of Justice League is from the theatrical release we got by director Joss Whedon, who stepped up as director after Snyder left production of the film midway.

As we all now know, Darkseid was removed from the final theatrical film entirely, Cyborg was woefully underdeveloped, and Superman’s arc was disappointing to say the least. At least now fans will finally be able to see just what was supposed to happen between the superheroes.

The new director’s cut will also new scenes with Jared Leto as the Joker. Snyder has even mentioned that Leto’s Joker will sport a different look from the one in Suicide Squad.

Unfortunately, one thing the new trailer still doesn’t offer is a release date for Zack Snyder’s Justice League, with the end of the trailer simply mentioning “2021”. With 2020 quickly coming to an end, we expect that it won’t take long for a definite release date to be announced.
