Zack Snyder & Netflix’s ‘Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child Of Fire’ Gathers Its Rebels In Final Trailer

Any ensemble flick spends some time showing how the leaders gathers his/her troops and Netflix is betting big with its upcoming sci-fi epic, ‘Rebel Moon’ with a trailer drop for Zack Snyder’s massive space opera that’s being released in two parts.

Part One: A Child Of Fire follows Kora (Sofia Boutella) hiding on a moon in the furthest edge of the universe after a crash landing, but her peaceful existence comes to an end when the oppressive Regent Balisarius (Fra Fee) and brutal emissary, Admiral Noble (Ed Skrein), invade the settlement. The mysterious Kora helps fend off the first wave of attack, but recognises the need to assemble an army of rebels to help defend the people of Veldt.

Rebel Moon - Part One

Originally developed as a Star Wars project, the concept was retooled as an independent project with two films, and already, Snyder, who has a penchant for extended cuts of his films has revealed that each two hour film will have an eventual director’s cut that adds an hour to each film.

Netflix will be releasing both Rebel Moon films, with Part Two: The Scargiver landing April 19, 2024. Already, Snyder has revealed that this series has a shared universe with his other Netflix series, ‘Army of the Dead’. The film also stars Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Ray Fisher, Doona Bae, Jena Malone, Staz Nair, E. Duffy and Michiel Huisman, with a secret role for Singapore’s own Lim Yu Beng.
