Jpop Duo Yoasobi Races To RWS For Singapore Stop In Asia Tour 2024

Japanese music super duo Yoasobi has finally revealed Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) as their performance venue for the Singapore leg of their first-ever overseas tour.

First announced on Anime Festival Asia’s social media pages, ticket sales have been confirmed for December 2023, while their previously unannounced concert venues have also been released for Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta. The list are as follows:

  • Singapore: 11 January 2024 (Thursday), Resorts World Sentosa
  • Kuala Lumpur: 14 January 2024 (Sunday), Zepp Kuala Lumpur
  • Jakarta: 16 January 2024 (Tuesday), Istora Senayan

Concerts at RWS are not the usual fare, but we’ve been seeing more performances held there. Notably, Girls’ Generation singer Jessica Jung performed her first solo concert just earlier this month, and Sekai no Owari held their last Singapore live show in 2017.

Ticket prices, concert timings, and exact ticket sale dates for the Yoasobi concert have yet to be announced, but should be on the horizon, considering that we’re soon to hit December, the month they’ve marked for ticket sales.

News of their overseas tour first broke out on Yoasobi’s official X / Twitter account back in September. Stops were revealed for Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Seoul for December 2023, and for Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei in January 2024.

Formed in 2019, the popular J-pop duo consisting of producer Ayase and singer-songwriter Ikura has hit many records with their music. Some of their notable tracks include “Yoru ni Kakeru” and Oshi no Ko opening song, “Idol”, which most recently won Song of the Year and Best Animation Video at MTV Video Music Awards Japan.
