Witness Katy Perry Joining Final Fantasy Brave Exvius As A Brand-New Playable Character

A brand new year is here, so bring out the Fireworks and welcome the arrival of pop sensation Katy Perry into Square Enix’s turn-based RPG game, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. Throughout the month of December, players could obtain Popstar Katy during the ‘Red Hot Music’ event.

Perry’s in-game character, Popstar Katy, sports the star’s signature look from her “Witness” tour which took place last year. Popstar Katy also attacks with not a Roar, but with her ‘Backup Dancers’, who can also be seen in their wacky television headsets from the “Witness” tour.

Perry herself has expressed her excitement in being featured in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, tweeting out that ‘it’s only natural to eat, hibernate, conversate, and play games’ during the holiday season, she ended the tweet reminding her followers to check out her ‘kawaii collaboration’ with Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.

To date, Perry isn’t the only pop star to be featured in this Final Fantasy spin-off. In 2017, pop star Ariana Grande participated in another limited-time-only event where she had a sprite modelled her iconic black costume and bunny ear mask from her “Dangerous Woman” album.

Square Enix has mentioned that other character designs will be available in future in-game events so fans who missed the ‘Red Hot Music’ event need not despair.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is a free-to-play app (with in-app purchases) and is available on both iOS and Android.
