Watch Gravity-Defying Pizza Tossing While You Dine At RWS’s Fratelli Pizzeria This March

Diners at Resorts World Sentosa’s Fratelli Pizzeria are in for a treat this March. Two-time Acrobatics Pizza World Champion Pasqualino Barbasso is back again, with his awe-inspiring and gravity-defying pizza tossing acts. He’ll be making daily demonstrations during lunch (1:15pm) and dinner (7:45pm) from 1 to 9 March 2019 (with the exception of March 5).

Born in Sicily, Chef Pasqualino learnt the secret to making exceptional pizzas in his family restaurant ‘Falco Azzurro’. He first won the Sicily’s Acrobatic Pizza Championship in 1998, and has spent the last ten years traveling the world performing his craft and promoting Italian food culture.

Now let’s get down to the food. There is a pair of limited-time-only artisanal pizzas created exclusively by Chef Pasqualino, which features gourmet toppings on hand-pulled (and tossed maybe?) pizzas.

First up, the Romana comes topped with mozzarella, roasted pork “Porchetta”, smoked scamorza cheese, marinated vine cherry tomatoes and roasted potatoes.

The Romana.

Next, the Mediterranea, comes with tomato sauce, mozzarella, fried eggplants, taggiasche olives, sun-dried tomatoes and basil powder.

The Mediterranea.

To complement the pizzas, there’s the Sirenetta topped with puglia burrata cheese, mazara red prawn tartare, rucola salad and lemon zest; Arrotolata with asparagus cream, mozzarella, buffalo ricotta cheese, loch fyne smoked salmon and mesclun salad; and Tonnata with mozzarella, roasted dutch veal, tuna sauce, caper berries and Spanish anchovies. The full menu is available here.

Here’s a sampling of some of the other treats one can expect from the delicious menu offerings.

Paccheri alla Vittorio bring prepared at the table.

If watching pizza acrobatics and chowing down on pizzas aren’t enough, guests can also sign up to learn how to make authentic artisanal pizzas, personally conducted by Chef Pasqualino himself. There is one class left on 6 March 2019 at 3:00pm, priced at S$38++ for adults and S$28++ for children between 4 and 12 years old. Visit the official site for more information.
