Vin Diesel Hints Fast & Furious 10 Could Be Split Into Two Parts

Fast & Furious 9 has yet to hit theatres and yet we already have words from Vin Diesel that the 10th Fast & Furious movie instalment could be split into two parts.

In an interview with Total Film, Diesel shared the possibility of two movies for Fast & Furious 10.

“I started planning for Fast 10 before we started filming Fast 9. Very much so,” said Diesel. “The universe is so robust and so rich with talent and rich with story that, on one level, it’s totally feasible to have spinoffs, and I think that’s something that is inevitable.”

He adds, “Universal deserves it because of how much they’ve invested in this little saga, and it’d be good to give back to Universal. And for the fans, should Fast 10 parts one and two be the conclusion, it would be nice for this world to continue for generations to come.”

It is questionable at best if the Fast & Furious universe truly needs its final instalment to be split into two parts like The Hunger Games or Harry Potter but for the sake of getting a truly satisfying ending, two parts might just be necessary.

For now, we can only wait for Fast & Furious 9 to hit theatres to get a little more clarity on whether two parts are really needed to tell the series’ final chapter.

Though with the return of Sung Kang’s Han, the inclusion of John Cena’s Jakob, and even the potential return of Johnson’s Luke Hobbs, the creative team behind Fast & Furious will have a lot that they can work with.

Fast & Furious 9 will be hitting theatres in Singapore on 21 May 2020
