World of Warcraft (WoW) has established itself as a beloved MMORPG title along the years – and rightly so, given the team’s constant dedication to releasing new content as part of its ongoing 14-year journey in the gaming community.

Following in the footsteps of its last live expansion in 2016, Legion, the upcoming Battle for Azeroth pack is set immediately after the events of its predecessor, and delves back to the heart of the never-ending conflict between the Alliance and Horde. With its official launch on August 14, 2018, fans have got some waiting to do, but that’s not stopping the more enthusiastic individuals from trying their hands at obtaining the beta keys issued by both the team themselves, and other partners.

That’s definitely one course of action to declare your love for the game – technical-wise, at least. On the artistic side of things, it’d be another form of expression, and what better way to have the best of both worlds (art and WoW than a fanart contest?

A joint collaboration between Blizzard SEA and Geek Culture, the Battle for Azeroth Fan Art Contest invites passionate individuals to unleash their creativity, with the following theme in mind – Battle for Azeroth: Horde vs Alliance.

There’s no limitation set upon the number of entries, though participation is only open to residents of Singapore. The submission guidelines are as follows:

  • Any style can be used to produce your fanart, and both hand- and digitally-drawn methods are accepted.
  • Artwork is to be submitted in either JPG or PNG format, with the file size to be below 3MB.
  • The size of artwork should not be smaller than 600px on the shorter end, with quality being 72dpi and above.
  • Artwork is to be created in RGB mode, after which the original AI/PSD files should be retained.
  • Prize winners will be asked to provide the working files after the winner announcement has been made.

The submission period will span from 5 to 26 July 2018, and close at 23:59hrs on the last day. Winners are to be announced on 29 July 2018, with the following prizes up for grabs:
