When it comes to the Marvel side of things, one might think it’s just the movies that are doing great. However, in calculated and strategic moves, the video games section has been seeing some awesome success as well, with the latest being Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. That will only get better, as we now know that Amy Hennig, former Naughty Dog creative director of the Uncharted series, is working on a new Marvel game too.
Currently over at Skydance New Media, Hennig’s expertise as both a writer and creative director would definitely come into focus for this new Marvel game.
The description of the project reads as a “narrative-driven, blockbuster action-adventure game, featuring a completely original story and take on the Marvel Universe.”
Who those heroes are remain a mystery, nor do we have a release date or platforms. It is safe to say that development could still be in the early stage, but it is definitely worth keeping an eye on. If Amy Hennig is able to push her already-proven creative vision to the fullest, then we could be in for a Marvel adventure full of action, suspense, and iconic moments.
If Skydance’s involvement in a Marvel property is still not enough for you, there is still the upcoming Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Spider-Man 2, and a Wolverine game all in the works. It has never been more thrilling to be a Marvel fan.
