Many of you might remember the Samsung Galaxy Fold being announced back in February, a and then having its lifespan cut short barely three months after, after a series of user complaints saw one of the world’s first foldable smartphones bearing cracked screens mere weeks after reaching their hands.
Well, it’s back. Again. This time, the launch will reach the shores of sunny Singapore on September 18.
For those unfamiliar with it, the Samsung Galaxy Fold comes with a tablet-esque 7.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display, which folds into a more portable 4.6-inch Super AMOLED Display, to suit a wide array of needs and tasks, such as mobile gaming, watching videos, and even just surfing the net.
The Galaxy Fold also comes with six cameras: one 10MP selfie camera on the front screen; a 16MP ultra wide-angle, 12MP wide-angle with dual-pixel auto-focus and image stabilisation, and a 12MP telephoto camera on the back; as well as a 10MP selfie camera and 8MP RGP depth camera on the tablet side.
The Galaxy Fold supports its versatile image-capturing, gaming and general-purpose capabilities with a powerful 7nm octa-core processor, with 12GB of on-board memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold looks like it’s here to stay (finally), and will be available in Singapore from September 18 onwards, across selected local telco operators (M1, Singtel and StarHub) and at the Samsung Experience Store at VivoCity. Each unit will sell for S$3,088.
Cosmos Black

The only colour available at launch will be the Cosmos Black, with a Space Silver one to be available from September 21.
