Sometimes even the best of us make mistakes, such as The Pokemon Company which has apologised for errors in its published official Pokemon Sword and Shield guidebook.
The company has noted that “multiple” mistakes have been made in the guidebook that was not spotted during the editing process. On their Japanese website, The Pokemon Company said that they “apologize for any inconvenience to our readers”. The post also included a PDF containing all the errors made in the guidebook, it is all in Japanese.
According to Game Revolution, the translation for The Pokemon Company’s post reads:
Thank you for always enjoying the Pokemon series.
In Pokémon Sword Shield Official Guide Book Complete Story Strategies + Garal Encyclopedia issued by Overlap Co., Ltd. on December 7, 2019, the data and data provided by Pokemon Co., Ltd. at the time of editing work are incorrect. Yes, and it turned out that there were multiple errors based on it.
We apologize for any inconvenience to our readers.
Fortunately, the errors are only in the Japanese guidebook and will not affect Pokemon fans in the US.
It is not certain what actions The Pokemon Company will be taking from here but we imagine they will be reprinting a new batch of Pokemon Sword and Shield guidebooks for their Japanese audience, this time with no errors.
