In recent years, smartphone companies have been attempting to one-up each other in virtually every technical aspect, but most notably in visuals. These days, a lot of consumer attention is focused on which cameras are the most powerful, or which displays are the most crisp, and every other visual-oriented facet present on a modern mobile device.
On 28 March 2020, the Oppo Find X2 Pro will launch in Singapore. Oppo’s first 5G-capable flagship smartphone will seek to provide stiff competition to the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, which has been making waves since its release. However, the main draw is that the Find X2 Pro will retail for S$1,699, which is markedly more affordable compared to the S20 Ultra.
Furthermore, the Find X2 Pro’s hardware does, in many ways, justify its price point. Armed with a beautiful 120Hz Quad HD+ display that supports up to 3K resolution, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and 12GB RAM, it has the potential to sit pretty comfortably among the top dogs in today’s market.
Its triple-camera system is aided by the phone’s Ultra Vision display, which boosts colours to become more true-to-life. This also aids with navigating the Android-based ColorOS system, making it easy on the eyes, regardless of age. And of course, we can’t get enough of the 120Hz display, which is buttery-smooth and marks the market’s shift away from 60Hz and even 90Hz displays moving forward.
The Oppo Find X2 launches on 28 March 2020 in Singapore, and will be available at all Oppo Concept Stores, all major telecommunication outlets (StarHub, Singtel, M1), the Oppo Lazada flagship store, as well as the Oppo Shopee flagship store. It will retail for S$1,699 at launch.
Pre-orders begin 14 March 2020 on the Oppo Shopee flagship store and all Oppo Concept Stores. In the meantime, check out our hands-on impressions of the Find X2 Pro!

Marion has a serious RPG addiction. Sometimes it bleeds into real life; he forgets to sleep because he thinks he has a Witcher’s body clock. Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
