‘The Boys’ Season 4 Kicks Off Filming In August, Reveals Karl Urban

Amidst our ongoing recovery from the utter insanity and debauchery (we mean this in a good way, don’t worry) that is Herogasm, more news about The Boys has surfaced. With two more episodes in the third season left to air, Karl Urban, who plays Billy Butcher in the series, has revealed in an exclusive interview with Collider that Season 4 is set to start shooting soon.

“Yeah, we’re starting I think August the 22nd, we’re going to be starting season four. So I’m getting back, getting my Butcher back on, and I can’t wait,” the actor shared. “It’s a fun gang to play with, we work hard and play hard, and I can’t wait to see where they take the characters from where we leave them at the end of this season.”

And while The Boys will be getting back together on 22 August, story details will remain a mystery — yes, even for Urban, who expressed, “We’re about two months away from filming, and I have no idea. So that’ll tell you something, but yeah, not too far away. I mean, I expect that we’ll… I’m actually going to be seeing [Eric] Kripke next week and I expect conversations will start to happen about what he’s got in store.

“I like to give them the respect of being able to do their writing process and not be harassed by actors going, “What are we doing?” But I can’t wait. They always come up with insane stuff, so yeah, it’s going to be fun,” he added.

Naturally, a release date hasn’t been set, but given how production is kicking off so soon, it’s likely that Season 4 of The Boys will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video sometime next year. Season 3 had many surprises in store for fans, and has been a thrilling watch thus far, especially with the long-awaited arrival of the huge superhero orgy Herogasm, which surprised even the likes of Arnold Schwarzeneggar with its explicit nature.

As of now, the balance between The Boys and the Seven is hanging by a thread, with Homelander becoming more erratic than ever and Butcher continuing his quest for revenge on the superhero. The last two episodes seem to promise plenty of action, story twists, and tension, so it would be exciting to see how it all ends with a bang.

The first six episodes of The Boys Season 3 are available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, with new episodes releasing every Friday.
