Take A Look At The Comic-Accurate Costumes For Doom Patrol!

With casting news of Doom Patrol coming in left and right, it was only a matter of time before we get to see them in costume. During a recent shoot in Atlanta, Georgia, JustJared took some set photos of April Bowlby (Elasti-woman) and Diane Guerrero (Crazy Jane), who have been spotted walking around in costume. We also got a first peek at the costumes for Negative Man and Robotman.

It looks like the costumes of Robotman and Negative Man will take inspiration from the most recent run of the Doom Patrol series drawn by Nick Derrington. Elasti-Woman is not shown in a superhero costume yet, while Crazy Jane (who doesn’t really have a superhero outfit in the comics) is wearing a typical emo outfit of ripped fishnet shirt, black nails, and multiple rings and necklaces. Oh, and also the “crazy” hair.

It’s been a whirlwind of Doom Patrol news lately. Just a few days ago, Alan Tudyk (Powerless, Ralph Breaks The Internet) was revealed to have been cast as the villain Mr. Nobody. Experimented on by ex-Nazis, Mr. Nobody has the ability to drain the sanity from the people around him. Unfortunately, the experiment also drained the sanity from himself, physically turning him into a living shadow with a question mark for a face and a heart-shaped hole in his chest. No, really.

Doom Patrol will air on the soon to be launched DC Universe. While the series itself will air in 2019, the characters will be introduced in the upcoming Titans, which will premiere on October 12, 2018.
