Surreal Soviet-Era FPS ‘Atomic Heart’ Brings The Weirdness In February 2023

Some things are well worth the wait, while others just disappoint even if they come early. For fans of the surreal and weird, the hope is that the long-gestating Atomic Heart is of the former variety. Having shown teases over the years, the game is finally close to launching, in fact, Mundfish has revealed the Atomic Heart will release on 21 February 2023.

The game will arrive on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Alongside the date reveal, the studio also showed off a brand new trailer full of the action that players can expect early next year.

Fast-paced gameplay, terrifying enemies, and plenty of thrills and spills just about sum up what Atomic Heart is all about. Of course, be prepared to explore and discover more about this dystopian world when the chance comes.

If you are new to the game, the premise is that it is set in an alternate version of the 1950s Soviet Union, where robotics and other advanced technologies were developed and used for World War II. Unfortunately, the robots turned against the humans, and through certain unethical secret experiments, mutants are also now part of the equation in Atomic Heart. As Major P-3, it will be up to you to eliminate all resistance and prevent the leakage of classified information threatening to destroy the whole world.”

Talk about a harrowing adventure.
