With their event launch Kick Off Live! promising a “spectacular world premiere showcase” with “more than a dozen” world premiere and announcements, Summer Game Fest is finally returning this 10 June with host Geoff Keighley.
“As a free, fan-first, global experience, Summer Game Fest will bring the entire video game community together for a memorable month of announcements and updates,” said Geoff Keighley.
Presented by Prime Gaming, Summer Game Fest is a free digital live stream show that launched last year as a platform for many publishers to showcase their new releases after many industry gaming events were either restricted or cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kick Off Live! is just one of the many events that’s part of the entire program that lasts several weeks featuring many publishers such as 2K, Activision, Amazon Games, Annapurna Interactive, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Battlestate Games, Blizzard Entertainment, CAPCOM, Devolver Digital, Dotemu, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Finji, Frontier, Gearbox Publishing, Hi-Rez Studios, Inner Sloth, Koch Media, Mediatonic, MiHoYo, PlayStation, Psyonix, Raw Fury, Riot Games, Saber Interactive, SEGA, Steam, SQUARE ENIX, Tribeca Festival, Tencent Games, Warner Bros. Games, Ubisoft, Wizards of the Coast, and Xbox with many more to be announced.
So far, the confirmed events are Ubisoft’s “Ubisoft Forward” on 12 June and EA’s “EA Play Live” showcase on 22 July where they will feature their upcoming lineup of games.
In addition to Weezer kicking off the event by performing a brand new soundtrack that is stream safe for streamers or content creators, Days of the Devs, a showcase of new independent games produced and curated by iam8bit and Double Fine Productions will also be featured as part of the Kick Off Live! highlights.
The event will be available across all major streaming platforms such as Facebook, Twitch and YouTube.
Summer Game Fest will start 10 June at 11AM PT / 2PM ET / 6PM BST, additional events and details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
