Uniqlo is back and this time around, they have partnered up with renowned New York-based artist Jason Polan to release their new Marvel x Jason Polan UT Collection.
Marvel fans will now be able to catch the upcoming Avengers: Endgame while dressed in shirts designed exclusively by Polan, featuring characters such as the Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man and more.
According to Polan, these comic-book characters have played a substantial role in his life, since he was a little boy.
Polan cites artists like Jack Kirby (the artist behind the Fantastic Four, The Avengers, amongst many others) and Steve Ditko (who co-created Spider-Man alongside Stan Lee) as inspirations for his design, and that is evident in how the designs featured in the UT Collection lean towards a more comic-book aesthetic.
Aside from t-shirts, the Marvel x Jason Polan UT Collection will also be releasing a series of mesh caps, though they only come in the Kids size. At least now your kids will have something cool to wear on a sunny day out.
In line with the launch of the Marvel x Jason Polan UT Collection, Polan himself will be making a visit to Uniqlo at Jewel Changi Airport, and the Orchard Central Global Flagship on April 19 and 20 respectively, from 3pm to 4.30pm. Customers there will get the chance to catch Polan drawing live.
The Marvel x Jason Polan UT Collection has already been launched on Uniqlo’s website, and has been on sale at the new Jewel Changi Airport store since April 11. It will be released in the Orchard Changi Global Flagship on April 19, and in other remaining Uniqlo stores from April 22.
