‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’ Fans Are Convinced They Know The Sith Master’s Identity

Star Wars: The Acolyte dropped on Disney+ just a day ago, and there are plenty of fan theories about the mysterious Sith Master, who makes just two appearances but leaves a big impact with his presence. There’s one common consensus among the show’s fans — the Sith Master is someone already in the story. Spoilers ahead, be warned.

With the reveal that Mae and Osha (Amandla Stenberg) are actually twins, Osha being a former Jedi and Mae being a Sith apprentice, the characters in the show attempt to unmask the identity of Mae’s master, but are no closer to doing so.

Mae’s only ally is smuggler Qimir (Manny Jacinto), who claims to be a humble merchant, but manages to hold his own against her when she confronts him about selling her out to the Jedi. He’s also oddly knowledgable about the locations of other Jedi, and says several things that check out against the Sith code, including this line, “The Jedi justify their galactic dominance in the name of peace, and peace…” We all know what comes after that, with Mae finishing the quote.

After Mae turns on him, Qimir seemingly is left dangling on a tree, but what we don’t see is him in any other scenes in the episode, and the Sith’s sudden appearance could justify that he had time to change into his Sith outfit right before the second episode’s climactic battle.

We’ll find out in the next episode of The Acolyte, which teases an all-out lightsaber fight between the Jedi and the Sith, and releases on 11 June.
