‘Star Wars Outlaws’ Returns To Tatooine, Where You Can Work For Jabba And Visit Mos Eisley

Having already shown off some of the gameplay elements that will be in Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment are not done yet with the teases. In a brand new behind-the-scenes video, the team provided fans with an insight into some of the planets that can be visited, including the likes of Tatooine.

Several work-in-progress images were shared of the planet with two suns, and that includes getting up close and personal with Han Solo, who is frozen solid in carbonite. For those not aware, Star Wars Outlaws takes place between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, so that should give you an idea of the connections to the overarching plot.

If there is the captured Han Solo, then there will most certainly be room for Jabba the Hutt, which the video also shows off. As one would predict, protagonist Kay Vess will indeed visit Jabba’s Palace at some point in the game. In the itinerary will also be several visits to Mos Eisley and its raucous cantina. Whether there will be fistfights and shootouts there is a whole other matter altogether.

That said, Star Wars Outlaws will feature new locations as well, such as Toshara. This is a new moon that has been created just for the game and is inspired by the African Savannah. The moon will be home to cities like Murugana, where nature and civilisation come together to create spectacular sights. The unique flora and fauna will also be things to look out for.

“We’ve only scratched the surface of what Star Wars Outlaws has to offer,” the developers shared. “There is so much more that you will get to embody and use and play when you become Kay Vess.”

Star Wars Outlaws is currently in development for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, and is set for launch sometime in 2024.
