Not only is Triangle Strategy out now, but the Japanese company has just revealed another potential big hit at the latest State of Play presentation. Coming later in the year, The DioField Chronicle will bring a new experience crafted by a skilled and experienced development team.
With the likes of Character Designer Taiki (Lord of Vermillion III, IV), Kamikokuryo Isamu (Final Fantasy XII, XIII), and Sound Composers Ramin Djawadi and Brandon Campbell (Game of Thrones), the all-new Square Enix strategy RPG is an epic tale of war and honour.
With a war looming over the Rowetale mainland, the stage is set for the Empire and the Alliance to clash over the isle of DioField under the care of the Kingdom of Alletain, which is home to the precious resource, Jade. As the band of elite mercenaries known as the Blue Fox, it is your time to carve your name into legend.
A Real Time Tactical Battle (RTTB) system is at the core of The DioField Chronicle, blending fantasy, medieval, and modern-day influences with the deep combat system. Players will have to be observant of battlefield conditions and take decisive action to exploit enemy weaknesses and play to their strengths. Be it equipment, classes, or skills, everything you do matters.
It also looks stunningly beautiful, where richly detailed depictions of the environments and cultures of the island of DioField combine with unique diorama-style visuals to create a beautiful yet easy to follow spectacle.
Suffice to say, The DioField Chronicle has us excited, and with a 2022 release, we don’t have long to wait. The game will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, the Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
