The DioField Chronicle thrusts you into the fictional Kingdom of Alletain on the DioField Island. You take charge of a band of elite mercenaries ‘Blue Fox’ employed to fight against the Empire and the Alliance. Both forces have broken the 200-year peace in Alletain as they vied for control of the mineral Jade, found in rich quantities in the Kingdom of Alletain, which is prized for its use in magic and sorcery.

The strategy RPG with real-time tactical battles is developed by an experienced team including character designer Taiki (Lord of Vermilion III, IV), concept artist Isamu Kamikokuryo (Final Fantasy XII, XIII), and composers Ramin Djawadi and Brandon Campbell (Game of Thrones).

You’ll have access to four unit types: soldier, cavalier, sharpshooter, and magicker, each with their own battlefield roles. All playable characters fall into one of these roles.

The soldier is the defensive unit, meant to draw enemies’ attention and free up his allies to manoeuvre on the battlefield. The cavalier is the mounted unit that uses its mobility to charge down enemies and knock them back. The sharpshooter fills the ranged role, using bows or guns to pepper opponents from afar. The magicker is the magic-user that blasts enemies, controls the field, or heals allies.

A demo of the game that covers the prologue until the end of chapter 1 will be available on 10 August for all the above-mentioned gaming platforms.

The DioField Chronicle is open for pre-orders now. Early adopters get bonus items such as Rhopasto Knife and Recruit’s Bangle for early game use. The DioField Chronicle will launch on PlayStation 5 & 4, Xbox Series X|S & One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam) on 22 September 2022.
