Samsung’s One UI 6.1 Update Brings Galaxy AI To Older Galaxy Devices

Two months after releasing the Galaxy S24 smartphones, Samsung has rolled out the One UI 6.1 firmware update to older devices. This comes after the company confirmed select handsets will receive Galaxy AI features by the first half of 2024, with the first wave of releases kicking off on 28 March.

As of now, the update is available on these devices:

  • Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra
  • Galaxy S23 FE
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5

It’s currently unclear if other devices will join in on the fun, but One UI 6.1 is bound for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series from 5 April onwards. With the update, users can expect the full suite of Galaxy AI features, including Generative Edits for photos, Live Translate capabilities, Notes Assist, the Transcribe tool, and more.

To get started, simply open the Settings app, navigate to Software Update, and tap Download and install. In light of this latest firmware rollout, Samsung is also running the following promotions from 2 to 24 April in Singapore with purchase via the Experience Stores and online store:
