Ridley Scott’s Raised By Wolves Trailer Delves Into A Horror Fueled Dystopian Future

HBO Max has just released a new trailer for the upcoming Sci-Fi horror series, Raised by Wolves. The series will be helmed by executive producer Ridley Scott (director of Alien, Blade Runner, Prometheus, American Gangster).

The trailer reveals a haunting landscape of the remnants of humanity after being torn apart by religious beliefs, with children being raised by seemingly sinister androids like Mother. (It’s made all the more chilling when we think about how we are probably all headed down that path too in reality.)

Mother was programmed to protect everyone after Earth had been destroyed. When the big bad wolf shows up, she is the one we must trust.”

The first two episodes were reportedly directed by Ridley himself and will mark his directorial debut on an American TV Series. Applying his keen artistic vision to the series, Ridley also teams up with creator Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners) to make a unique spin on the dystopian sci-fi genre.

Travis Fimmel (Vikings) will star as the metaphorical Big Bad Wolf in the series along with fellow cast members, Amanda Collin (A Horrible Woman), Abubakar Salim (Assassin’s Creed: Origins), and child actors Winta McGrath (AloftRed DogTrue Blue), Niamh Algar (The VirtuesCalm With Horses), Jordan Loughran (The InfiltratorEmerald City), Matias Varela (NarcosPoint Break), Felix Jamieson (Game of ThronesThe Ghost), Ethan Hazzard (The Long SongDamned), Aasiya Shah (Call the MidwifeUnforgotten) and Ivy Wong (Star Wars: Rogue OneMaleficent 2).
