Director Rian Johnson will make it a point to have a Knives Out sequel.
The USD$40 million film with an ensemble cast of some of Hollywood’s best has grossed nearly USD$250 million worldwide.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, The Last Jedi director is already developing a sequel centred on Benoit Blanc investigating a new case. According to Johnson, Daniel Craig who played Benoit Blanc is keen to return.
“Daniel had so much fun doing it, and he wants to do more,” he said.

But don’t get too excited folks, Lionsgate has yet to give the green light to a sequel.
With the success of the Knives Out movie, especially since making the cut and cinching nominations for best comedy/musical picture, best comedy/musical actor for Craig and best comedy/musical actress for Ana de Armas at the Golden Globe Awards, it could be the beginning of a lucrative franchise for the studio.

Joe Drake, chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group said that he is eager to read a script (via The Hollywood Reporter). And just like Drake, we hope this sequel is going to be just as great, just as funny and hopefully with a cast just as star-studded as the first one.
