This must be one of the coolest ways to kick off a new season of a television show in Singapore. Lucky (and fast) SingTel customers of The Walking Dead will get an opportunity to experience an escape room game themed after the Terminus.
No idea what an escape room is? It is best described as a frustrating and poorly designed puzzle game which has a player unlock various boxes to obtain a key and ‘escape’ from a locked room. It’s pretty cool in concept but it’s all about the execution in the end.
That being said, having an escape room themed Terminus to welcome the return of The Walking Dead is so awesome I wonder why no one thought about it earlier.
There’s quite a few steps in order to be one of the lucky few to stand a chance to enter the Terminus. First of which would require you to be a SingTel customer.
Next, head down to the following locations to redeem exclusive passes –
20 September (Saturday), 1pm -2.30pm:
SingTel Shop @ Bugis Junction
200 Victoria Street
#01-50/50A Parco Bugis Junction
21 September (Sunday), 1pm -2.30pm:
SingTel Exclusive Retailer @ Plaza Singapura

To win a pair of ticket passes, subscribers will need to present their SingTel mio TV subscription bill at the redemption table. They will also need to upload a self-portrait on the spot using the “Dead Yourself” app, with the hashtag #miotvfoxtwd. Subscribers who present both items will be awarded an exclusive pair of passes to The Walking Dead Terminus Escape.
The Walking Dead Terminus Escape will be held over 2 days on 11 and 12 October, and pass-holders will need to book their game slots on a first come first served basis. To further add to the excitement, the game will be held at a secret location, revealed only on the day itself!
Sounds like a great deal of effort that would appeal to a true fan, will you be one of them?
The brand new season of The Walking Dead Season 5 will premiere on FOX (SingTel mio TV Ch. 330 and StarHub TV Ch. 505) on Monday, 13 October 2014 at 9pm.
