Nintendo Opening Second US Store In San Francisco In 2025

After 20 years of waiting, Nintendo has finally announced a second standalone store coming to San Francisco in 2025 located in Union Square. Much like its store in NYC, visitors can expect immersive experiences and merchandise from franchises like Super Mario Bros., Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda, Pikmin, & more!

An official press release hinted that the store would provide “a way for a wide range of visitors from near and far to experience the world of Nintendo, its products, and characters,” but further details are currently under wraps.

The store located in Manhattan, NYC, spans two floors and has a merchandise store, event space, and frequently hosts events relating to new game releases. While we don’t have any details on the Union Square store, it’s expected to be as big as Manhattan’s.

At the same time, the choice of locale might be a bit odd. For anyone who had visited San Francisco post-pandemic, Union Square and the city aren’t quite the same as one might have remembered it to be considering the closure of multiple big-name brand stores in the area.

Also opening in 2025 is Universal Epic Universe’s Super Nintendo World in Orlando, expanding Nintendo’s reach even further. We’re excited to see Nintendo San Francisco when it opens, so keep an eye out for more updates!
