As Google gears up to launch new hardware, there have been rumours of the new Google Chromecast in the form of an Android TV dongle in the works. Now, we get a peek as to what the device, codenamed ‘Sabrina’, may look like. The leaks of the renders were first spotted on WinFuture.
The renders reveal and sleek oval-shaped design for the pieces and show dedicated buttons for Netflix and YouTube. The technology used is expected to be similar to that of other Android TV sticks with a four-core AMLogic S905X2 SoC installed together with 2GB RAM and small internal memory.
Other features include buttons at the side for volume adjustment, a D-Pad, other navigation buttons and a Google Assistant button. The new Chromecast will reportedly run Android TV, on an OS is rumoured to be rebranded Google TV.
The price of the Chromecast is reportedly around US$49.99 (S$67.94) and come in at least three colours summer melon (pink), rock candy (grey) and summer blue (via 9to5Google).
