Netflix’s ‘Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft’ Ends In Dec With Season 2

The Netflix animated game-to-screen series, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, is approaching the end of its adventure, as its upcoming second season has been confirmed to be its last.

As reported by Variety, although the Legendary Television series was renewed for a second season shortly after it originally premiered in October 2024, the upcoming chapter of Lara Croft’s on-screen journey will be her last.

Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft Season Two will see the return of Hayley Atwell (Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning) as the voice of the iconic adventurer Lara Croft, alongside her best friend Sam (voiced by The Boys’ Karen Fukuhara) and other cast members including O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale) as Eshu, Allen Maldonado (American Carnage) as Zip, and Earl Baylon (Arcane) as Jonah Maiava.

The show is written and executive-produced by Tasha Huo (Red Sonja), with additional executive producers including Story Kitchen’s Dmitri M. Johnson, Mike Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson, as well as game developer Crystal Dynamics’ Dallas Dickinson and Noah Hughes, Tractor Pants’ Jacob Robinson, and Jen Chambers. The show is animated by Powerhouse Animation, best known for the Castlevania series and its spin-off, Castlevania: Nocturne.

Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft Season Two will see the end of Lara’s journey when it debuts on Netflix on 11 December 2025, with its official logline reading:

When adventurer Lara Croft discovers a trail of stolen African Orisha masks, she joins forces with her best friend Sam (Karen Fukuhara) to retrieve the precious artifacts. Lara’s thrilling new adventure takes her around the globe as she delves deeper into the hidden secrets of Orisha history, dodging the machinations of a dangerous and enigmatic billionaire who wants the masks for herself, while discovering these relics contain dark secrets and a power that defies logic.
