Netflix has unveiled its latest trailer for The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, the upcoming adult animated film based on the massively popular video game series. The film will see actor Doug Cockle reprising his role as Geralt of Rivia and will be released on 11 February.
Adapted from The Witcher author Andrzej Sapkowski’s short story A Little Sacrifice, Sirens of the Deep follows the famed monster hunter as he investigates a series of mysterious attacks in a seaside village. Alongside the bard Jaskier, Geralt also meets a potential love interest, Essi, whom he is seemingly hesitant to get closer to following a betrayal by the sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg. Together, they find themselves caught in the centre of a centuries-old conflict between merpeople and humans.
Cockle will be joined by Joey Batey and Anya Chalotra, both returning to reprise their roles from the live-action The Witcher TV series as Jaskier and Yennifer respectively. The film will be directed by Kang Hei Chul, who previously worked on 2021’s The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf animated movie.
In other Witcher-related media, Netflix’s live-action series is pressing forward with its final two seasons, which will see Liam Hemsworth taking over the role of Geralt after the departure of Henry Cavill. On the gaming side, Cockle is set to reprise his role yet again for CD Projekt’s recently announced sequel The Witcher IV, although seemingly remaining on the sidelines and handing over the spotlight to its new protagonist Ciri.
The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep will begin streaming on Netflix on 11 February 2025.
