Neil Gaiman’s ‘Dead Boy Detectives’ Adaptation Headed To HBO Max

DC Comics’ Dead Boy Detectives is headed to HBO Max with an 8-episode series, after a pilot episode was initially ordered in September 2021. The comic was created by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner. The Flight Attendant creator Steve Yockey will serve as the showrunner for the series.

Dead Boy Detectives follow two dead British teenagers, Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine, who decided not to enter the afterlife in order to stay on earth and investigate crimes involving the supernatural. It is described as a ghost story that explores loss, grief and death.
