CES 2024: MSI’s US$5,000 Titan 18 HX Gaming Laptop Comes With An RGB Trackpad

MSI debuted its Titan 18 HX laptop at CES 2024 alongside other big laptop announcements, and it lives up to its name. The US$5,000 device is truly a titan of a laptop, boasting high-end specs and a host of gaming-focused features, including an RGB trackpad.

As with most premium models, it can be outfitted with up to an Intel 14th Gen Core i9 14900HX processor, an RTX 4080 or 4090 GPU with DLSS 3.5 support, and up to 128GB of DDR5 RAM with four slots. It also boasts an 18-inch Mini LED display with 3840 x 2400 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

One major drawback however, is its weight, coming in at a whopping 3.6kg. It’s likely meant for stationary gaming, with an RGB trackpad that lights up serving to reinforce the gamer identity. While more novelty than functionality, it’s still a fun feature for users to play around with.

Other notable features of the MSI Titan 18 HX include an increased power output at 270W, AI-based performance, a six-speaker audio setup, and a new sleek vapor chamber cooler.

Local availability and pricing will be announced at a later date.
