Here is what we know so far. In the upcoming Arrowverse crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths, practically every character from all the DC TV shows will be involved somehow. There are also confirmed reports of characters from “other Earths” will be joining for this epic saga.
Fans went ballistic finding out that both Tom Welling and Erica Durance will be returning to reprise their roles as Clark Kent and Lois Lane respectively. Immediately, fans turned to the one person who could fulfil their dreams of a Smallville reunion – Michael Rosenbaum.
However, the last of the iconic Smallville trio will not be participating in the festivities. Michael Rosenbaum, deemed by many as the best portrayal of Superman’s archnemesis Lex Luthor, has refused to join in on this massive crossover.
He tweeted an explanation stating that Warner Bros. executives called up his agent while he was away visiting his grandfather.
“Their offer: No Script. No idea what I’m doing. No idea when I’m shooting. Basically no money. And the real kick in the ass “We have to know now.” My simple answer was “Pass.” I think you can understand why. I hope this answers all of your questions. Lovingly, Rosenbaum.”
Although Smallville fans are not getting their Lex Luthor back, the five-episode arc will include a whole bunch of actors and actresses reprising their previous superpowered roles.
Brandon Routh and Tyler Hoechlin will be joining Tom Welling as different Supermans (Supermen?). There are even rumours that Lynda Carter might put on the tights again and join the lineup as Wonder Woman.
