Marvel’s ‘VisionQuest’ Series Sets Oct Disney+ Release

Five years after Marvel’s WandaVision, its long-awaited Vision-focused adventure, VisionQuest, will finally make its Disney+ debut on 14 October 2026, marking not just the return of Paul Bettany, but other familiar faces too.

WandaVision (2021)

As reported by Variety, Disney revealed the release date at its Upfront presentation, finally offering fans some closure for the project that had been in development since 2022. The spin-off will pick up after the events of WandaVision and will follow Vision as he sets out to regain his lost memories and humanity. The presentation also showcased a trailer, which detailed how the series would connect to both the 2021 miniseries and 2024’s Agatha All Along, also offering a look at Bettany’s updated look and bringing back a familiar character, James Spader’s Ultron.

While further details on VisionQuest’s plot remain under wraps for now, the series will run for eight episodes, and star faces both new and old, such as Faran Tahir, who will reprise his role as leader of the Ten Rings, Raza, last seen in 2008’s Iron Man, Todd Stashwick (12 Monkeys) as Paladin, a bounty hunter who is hunting Vision, Ruaridh Mollica (Sebastian) as Tommy Maximoff, the speedster son of Vision and Wanda whose soul was placed into the teenage body of Thomas Shepherd in Agatha All Along, and Lauren Morais (The Red King) as Lisa Molinari, a character closely connected to Shepherd.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

VisionQuest will be helmed by Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard ), who took over after previous plans for WandaVision’s Jac Schaeffer to serve as its head writer fell through. Filming for the series began in March 2025, with Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro, Vincenzo Natali, and Matalas directing various episodes.

VisionQuest will premiere on Disney+ on 14 October 2026.
