Amazing Fan Transforms ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’ Into The Noir Universe

With Insomiac Games‘ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 rightfully getting the plaudits for both its gameplay and storytelling, there is also much fun to be had when it comes to other fun diversions within the game. There are countless Easter eggs to find, collectibles to seek out, and of course, plenty of suits for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales to don. And for those into Spider-Man in the Noir universe, you are in luck.

Thanks to an enterprising fan, it is actually possible for players to transform this latest superhero adventure into one reminiscent of the Marvel’s Noir universe, with Spider-Man Noir front and centre. Redditor SpaceYetiGamer is the mind behind this, and here’s what can be done to achieve just that effect.

Obviously, the most important aspect of this is to get the Spider-Noir suit in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Once it is unlocked, the game will also grant access to both the Film Style Animation and Comic SFX. Now, go into the menus and check out the Visuals tab, and activate the High Contrast Background option, which coats the world in a black-and-white filter.

And voila, you are free to swing through New York City like it is meant to be in the Marvel Noir universe. While this isn’t exactly a full transformation that is part of the package, it is still cool that players have this option if they wish to experience the game differently, especially with New Game+ arriving in a new update by the end of the year.

This isn’t the first time that Spider-Man Noir has made an appearance in more mainstream media. He first appeared in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions back in 2010, and of course, the two Spider-Verse animated films that have been impressing both critics and fans as well. Now, we can add arguably the best superhero video game to the list in which this version of the old webhead makes an appearance.
